Alex Sherborne is a vastly experienced physiotherapist skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of complex musculo-skeletal injuries. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1985 and has post graduate qualifications in orthopaedic manipulative therapy, acupuncture, Pilates and real time ultrasound diagnostics and biofeedback.
Alex has played sport in three codes at State level and worked on three continents. For nearly 30 years, he has worked with elite athletes, rock stars, office workers and premature babies, but prefers ordinary people with extraordinary problems who are motivated to get better. He loves listening to people's stories, assessing the contributing factors to their condition, and creating innovative, evidence-based solutions.
The use of Real Time Ultrasound technology has allowed him to gain a more precise diagnosis and grading of the injury from which treatment options become clear sooner. If one can not only understand their problem, but see the problem under ultrasound, they are infinitely closer to fixing it!
Alex is married with four children and is a keen Sydney Harbour swimmer, antique collector and art restorer. He and his wife began working with a small group of impoverished Vanuatu women in 2012 and are now completing the South Pacific's first earthbag roundhouse for the Erna's Women's Centre.
They will begin building the Preschool in July 2013.
