What do you like the most about being a physiotherapist?

I find physio a very rewarding occupation by being able to assist people to regain their quality of life and return to their normal activities and recreational hobbies and sports. I am passionate about building client’s confidence to be able to manage their pain, provide a sense of relief after a physio session and return to the things they love.

What do you enjoy about teaching exercises to your patients?

I enjoy assisting clients to feel empowered to be able to manage their symptoms whilst at home/ on the road or on holiday. It is fantastic seeing that sense of achievement when clients master the next phase of their exercise program.

What are some of the conditions you find rewarding to treat?

I particularly enjoy treating lower backs and knee injuries following knee injury myself. As a runner, I can appreciate how disabling it can feel when you are not able to participate in your normal exercise routine. I also enjoy treating neck injuries after working for over 3 years with motor vehicle accidents and whiplash.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I am a keen long distance runner and in the last 3 years I have taken up skiing in the winter months. During summer, if I am not trail running or hiking, trying to find the hidden gems around Sydney, you will find me at the beach trying to master the art of surfing.
