MPhysio, B.HlthSc, Cert Pilates
What do you like most about being a Physio?
I am passionate about working with you to find out what your issue is caused by, provide relief to your pain and figure out solutions that help you to return to the things you love.
What are some of the conditions you find rewarding to treat?
I also enjoy treating lower back, sciatic pain, neck and shoulder issues.
I enjoy addressing postural issues. Our bodies are meant to move. Often times our sedentary jobs don’t allow this and our posture suffers. It’s rewarding to work out a strategy together with you that improves your posture and lessens posture related aches and pain.
Why did you choose to teach Pilates?
I love Pilates because it doesn’t matter what fitness level you start off with, from those who have never done a squat to athletes there is a large range of exercises that everyone can do at their own level. There is no exercise too easy or too hard, all can be modified to suit every individuals specific level and goals. It is a fun and such an effective way to teach people how strong their body is and to use it to aim towards whatever physical goal they would like to achieve.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I love being outdoors, whether that’s going for a walk in the sun, hiking on a mountain or swimming at the beach. If you can’t find me there, it’s probably because I’m planning my next holiday where I can experience a new culture and enjoy their local cuisine.
